Boots Hearingcare Birmingham Hagley Road

The place is quite easy to reach from any part of Birmingham, lot of parking space, Clean, quiet and welcome atmosphere. Optician take the time to help you choose the lenses which is quite some work as is hard to decide from the first attempt. Then I met Zaara again and she dealing with my glasses frame, and explain me everything, so I know what im order. One or two years ago she helps me with my choosing and she has lot of patience. I was in there for 2h 40 min.I think the system/computer were slow. If you ad the time you take in order to decide which frame you like/suit you there were are. There are hundreds of pairs, some affordable ones, other are designer frames, they have lot of offers so, for sure you find something for every taste,shape and budget. Can't wait to have my all 3 pair of glasses. I would definitely recommend this Boots !

We visited the Hagley Road Birmingham branch this afternoon and were very pleased with the professional service we received. Haider was our audiologist. He explained everything clearly and took time to understand the nature of my husband’s difficulties. He was not ‘pushy’ with regarding to choosing a hearing aid but explained all the options and gave us clear information which enabled us to make our choice. I would recommend Haider as someone who is professional and efficient whilst still being friendly and pleasant. Many thanks

Efficient and straight forward

Arrived 7 minutes late due to traffic!! The woman said she has to arrange appointment as an other appointment was due at 4 ! She was rude hence I e booked to go somewhere different other than boots on hagley road , won’t be using boots at all ….

Miriam at Hagley Road Birmingham was brilliant. Phonak roger on connection with my hearing aids not working. Last minute appointment on Christmas Eve sorted it. Thank you so much Miriam. You helped me have a better Christmas than I had expected. Gold star for you.

Very quick to book in and take my money however cancelled appointment just over an hour before due so waste of a day off then when I tried to book another appointment was told soonest was in 4-5 weeks time and then later as no apps on my days off and don’t work Saturdays. Kept offering days I said I was unavailable so got the impression he wasn’t listening to me and didn’t really care. Very disappointed in a company who I have always associated good service with before.

Cancelled at 7.30 on morning of my collection and final testing . Away for 3 weeks now and no hearing aid .

The audiologist was friendly and seemed knowledgeable, but my overall experience was disappointing to say the least! I was only offered Phonak hearing aids, at a price of £3500, with a 15% discount! The TV box I was told was “thrown in” with these aids, was charged at a price of over £1200, before discount. The hearing aids that I had put in my ears to try out were the cheapest in the range, not the same as I was going to buy. I was told they were unsuitable for me and weren’t very good! Having paid the deposit, I checked them out when I arrived home to find that Phonak aids have 66% 1 star reviews on Trustpilot and that they are owned by the parent company who own the majority shares in Boots Hearing Centres! This is not independent! I cancelled them and have found a truly independent audiologist with over 35 years of experience.

Got my phonak hearing aids a couple of months ago, from boots on the Hagley road. Initially there were some problems with feedback because of a problem with the shape of my ear canals, However, with Mariam's help, and new moulds the problem will hopefully now be resolved. A word on Mariam.This girl is exceptional, I cannot express in words how good she is. Give her a big raise now, everyone seems to want a piece of her.Thanks Mariam.

My experience with your audiologist, Miriam, was great and I found her very sympathetic and helpful. It is good to know that there are several more appointments with her to help with any questions or problems I may have with my hearing aid. It is a completely new situation for me and I am sure that I will find good guidance and help for the future.

I have had excellent experience with Boots Hearing Care. The audiologist, Mariam, is clear, very knowledgeable and always welcoming - she is a credit to the company. Very pleased with the hearing aids I purchased (there was no pressure to buy), and with the after-care (copy of the audiology report for my GP, further checks, weekly emails) - this makes me feel that I am not forgotten and that the purchase will prove very worthwhile.

For me Mariam Hijab has the perfect combination of excellent technical knowledge and friendly interpersonal skills that made my appointment with her a pleasure. I came away with my hearing improved and a feeling of reassurance that she managed to convey.

I am yet to squire my hearing aids due to wax in 1 ear but the lady who ran the tests was very good and very understanding!

I was made to feel at ease straight away, had my hearing test and was told of all the options open to me. Each option was fully explained to me and I was able to make my choice straight away.

I had a very thorough hearing test .and was pleased with the information and advise I was given going forward . I am looking forward to having my hearing aid fitted to improve my quality of life .

I was impressed by the range of hearing aids available and how effectively they appear to work. I like the idea of the 90 day trial period.(I am currently on day two!) The audiologist, Mariam, was knowledgeable, accessible and very understanding. She is a skilled practitioner, who the company should be very pleased to have in their employ.

I have been going to Boots for my glasses for 20 plus years, a while back I found I needed hearing aids, so I had a pair of Phonak from here, not cheap but absolutely brilliant. People can't notice them when in, they blue tooth to my phone and more importantly the TV so my wife can listen at a level that's OK for her. They charge in a case from a USB, so no fiddly batteries either. Sadly when taking my mask off the other day I got one of the hearing aids caught in the elastic. I didn't realise, pulled the mask off and separated the two components of the aid. I rang Boots and spoke to the Audiologist ,Anisah, told her what had happened and said it looked like I needed to buy a new hearing aid. She confidently said, "Drop it in I'll see if I can fix it, no point spending money if you dont need to" Not a hope I thought. Two hours later, Anisah rang back, I was fully expecting her to say sorry its had it, but she simply said, "All done, fixed, pick it up when ever you like". She is an absolute genius. Hearing aid back in one piece, working perfectly. I am so grateful. I dont aften write reviews but I can't praise both Boots Hearing Care, and especially Anisah at the Hagley branch enough.
