Expensive hearing aids,nothing special for the money and terrible after care. Both my elderly parents have paid for these hearing aids,which have worked erratically since purchasing. Hard to get review appointments and when you do these have been changed numerous times. After making new appts to suit time off work etc to take them and waiting months for the appointment they are chopped and changed at will. Rubbish service ,not fit for purpose. I understand sickness happens but this is too often to be plausible. Do not waste your time or money!! Still waiting for someone to contact me,but I suppose once you buy they don’t care 6/11 14:11 pm

Very good thorough tests during appointment . Everything explained in detail about various types of hearing aides. Felt very comfortable about whole experience.

Professional test with Laura who then spent time with myself and family members to discuss options with me. Demonstrated to family member the different in features and clarity of the different options available so they could help me make an informed choice. Very friendly and patient approach and no pressurised sales pitch. Top quality customer service. Very happy I chose to get support with my hearing loss from boots at the MetroCentre. Thank you.

The process was straightforward from start to finish.

Initially my consultation was fine. However I felt a bit uncomfortable when being shown the options available for hearing aids. Audiologist kept saying how good their hearing was compared to mine. I agreed to purchase expensive aids but unfortunately due to a personal matter I was unable to go ahead with it. My initial payment was quickly returned much to my relief and thanks.

Very efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly audiologists who explained everything very well. The hearing testing was undertaken well, the products explanation was good, and at the fitting of my new hearing aids said that there was plenty of support available afterwards.

I was able to get a next day appointment and after a thorough assessment, I tried a hearing aid that I could immediately note a vast improvement to my hearing versus my hearing with my NHS hearing aid. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I have to wait 10 days to go back and be fitted for the aid, which was disappointing.

Hi had both my ears cleaned of wax prior to my hearing test which was painless and carried by a very competent lady who explained the whole process before proceeding very happy with this and the audiologist who did my test very informative thankyou both a credit to the company

My mother was very nervous but was soon made to feel comfortable by the staff. She was very happy with the exceptional service she received. For the first time in several years she could hear perfectly with the test hearing aids. No regrets going there and 100% satisfaction with the results

Very informative appointment explaining where hearing loss was, explaining the anatomy of the ear and how the hearing aid works. He explained what the purpose of hearing aid does to help the hearing we have left.

Seen on time, good explanations, no hard sell. Expensive but, so far, very happy with AI hearing aids which connect via bluetooth with my phone, PC and car. I'm confident that if I experience ear problems, as I have with hearing aids in the past, I have plenty of time to return them and get my money back.

We are still in the process of having problems with my husbands hearing aid resolved until this happens we can't comment. This is ongoing since January 2024.

From first going into room, I was put as ease. Everything was explained to my husband and I in clear, precise and easy to understand language. All questions we had were thoroughly explained too. Have to return in a couples of weeks time for a three month trial and explanation/assistance on how hearing aids work, how they are cleaned and charged, plus assistance on how to put in and take out the hearing aids. Any other questions will also be answered fully. A really helpful manner and explanation on various aspects of hearing aids was given by Laura. Thank you for your help.

Simple process, everything explained in a way that was easy to understand including what effect my hearing loss may have in the future. Demonstration of available hearing aids and recommendations for my level of hearing loss were discussed and agreed and fitting booked in.

Jo , the audiologist was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me decide which hearing aid to purchase. He explained the difference between each type of hearing aid and there was no pressure to buy the most expensive.

Sat waiting for 25 minutes where there was no heating. I am 82 years old and I was shivering by the time I was seen. Actual consultation was very good and the lady was lovely.

Informative, pleasant experience with lots of choice of hearing aids

After burying head in sand decided to have hearing checked and found I needed hearing aids. From my first visit with Rebecca who explained carefully,clearly and sensitively what my hearing loss was to susequent visits with Laura who performed full test, helped me choose the best aids for my loss and showed me clearly how aids would benefit me I have been treated with sensitivity.

Your representative was very knowlegeable and I learnt a lot from him that I had not heard from others. However when it came to selling the hearing aid it was a hard sell He started by trying to sell me the most expensive hearing aid, the prices decreasing thereafter. He said this one had more channels and the further down the price guide you went the lower amount of channels. When he seen the prices were a bit out of my range he then introduced me to a cheaper one that was not on the list. He then said it would be fine for my needs as I only needed 2 channels. So my question is why try and sell me the dearest one. I wanted time to think about it but he pushed and pushed until I put down a deposit. On leaving and mulling it over I was annoyed, so on the Monday I rang up and cancelled the order, refund was straightforward without incident however. Update. The team say they will reach out to me but to date no one at all has been in touch. Easy words to write bt dont follow up the statement they make

The audiologist was very professional. But more than anything he had the patients and understanding to take the time to clearly explain everything that was happening. It certainly was a positive experience and I am glad that we went to Boots Hearing Care

Informative to enable to make decision

My hearing test was quite relaxed and RebeccA put me at ease she was informative helpful and gave good advice I have hearing aids that are comfortable and I,m finding a lot of difference to my hearing

My Phonak hearing aids were fin at first but after about 9 months the app stopped working and I could no longer adjust my aids using the app. The app is an integral part of the hearing aids and the ability to adjust them is an absolute must. I visited Boots on several occasions and each time the audiologist thought they were fixed but still the adjustment using the app would not work. I finally requested either a completely new set of aids or a complete refund. Boots proposed to replace the aids however when I went to exchange them, the replacement aids would not work with the app. The audiologist confirmed it was an app problem and not an aid problem and he could do nothing about the app. I am still using the original aids without the ability to adjust them and have requested a total refund. I am still waiting to hear back from Boots. This is a brief description of events and not a full explanation. I have not touched on the frustration, the anger, the shock when it was suggested it was my fault and nothing to do with the hearing aids. The audiologists have done all they can but I'm afraid their knowledge seems somewhat limited when it comes to problems. Phonak have not been very helpful and I cannot get in touch with them as there is no contact details available from Boots. I can not recommend e3ither Boots or Phonak based on my recent experience over a period of about two and a half months.

Boots had a flexible choice of early appointments to allow me to go from initial test, full testing to supply and fitting very quickly. I received detailed and very useful advice on products and prices. Ive only had the hearing aid two days, but so far so good. The 90 day return policy gives great peace of mind. I would highly recommend Boots.

Very thorough hearing examination. Examiner explained everything and conducted the test. The test proved what I already knew and was advised about obtaining hearing aids and the possible costs involved.
