Boots Hearingcare Cambridge

The annual visit was OK. Relatively brief, and now my hearing aids are a little all over the place. BUT my big gripe is that I have emailed Boots Hearing twice to ask about having moulds fitted to my existing hearing aids, and there hasn't been a response. What do I have to do to get them to contact me, apart from going in to make an appointment at the boots in town and then coming back and waiting for an appointment? Come on, boots. Respond to emails ! ! ! ! ! !

Good clear and in depth examination and a half hour trial to walk about and get a feel for them. A good choice of aids as well.

The audiologist gave me a lot of confidence and very good advice.

The audiologist, Gordon Stewart, Cambridge, went above and beyond in his explanations and choices available for hearing aids. Nothing too much trouble for him.

After a failure of my first appointment the rest went extremely well giving me the sense of being treated like a valued and reasonably intelligent customer. I would recommend you to others.

The experience with the 2 audiologists was fine but I only had 3 appointments with them and they canceled 2 of those at less than 24 hours notice. The first cancellation which was to pick my new hearing aids up was followed by a total communication debacle in their booking department. I can understand one short-notice cancellation but they did the same thing again this week. They don't seem to appreciate that I have to arrange time off from work to get to these appointments which I can't do at short-notice. I told them to forget it in the end as I don't need a follow up appointment. The prices are very good but the whole thing has been a somewhat shambolic experience.

Excellent support and care

Excellent explanations and clear, understandable instructions. I was never hurried, and encouraged to ask questions. It was ace!

Rose was brilliant she was very patient and understanding of my general struggle to fully understand all what was going on. A few days after the tests I received the first email back up including details and videos of the cleaning procedures. Which was very helpful. I have now logged on and ordered the Kits. Not sure if I could buy them in store as I think that would help especially at the time of returning to collect the aids or at least get quick guidance of what would be required. Pleased with the aids and now getting use to them Philip

Excellent. Rose picked up an abnormality inside my ear (I have a separate hospital appointment to investigate that). She was very professional informative and the whole experience was fun 😀

very helpful hearing tester

Having tried a couple of audiologists I was very impressed with Boots Hearingcare (Gordon) service. Very thorough, professional and good value for money.

It was first class I was very nervous about it but made me very comfortable at all times The tests was done so professionally And I did feel more relaxed By the end, No pressure was put on me Many thanks Mr Michael Pocock (KCStG)

The audiometrist, Rose Jewell, was reassuringly expert, warm and charming. This made the whole experience pleasant. Her explanation of the complexities of the new hearing aids was clear and was hugely important because the manufacturer's printed instructions were too terse and used unnecessary jargon like referring to a charger as Phonak Charger Case Go although 'Case Go' means nothing. They should call the two models 'basic charger' and 'indirect charger with rechargeable battery' and give them different model numbers for identification.

It was a very thorough hearing test , very informative and caring I was very impressed with the whole procedure.

The assistant explained everything to me the test was very good I was quite surprised at the level of hearing that I have lost. He was very thorough and told me about every step of the procedure.

Rose was absolutely amazing and explained everything so well, she explained my hearing loss in a way no one has before, so that I now understand what I hear and don’t hear. I was quite anxious having not previously had good experiences at other places, but left happy and confident my new hearing aids are going to work for me!

Good welcome. This was my second appointment, so the detailed tasing, explanation and advice, with as suggested my wife present. The audiologist was excellent and helped me to make my decision and let me practice a little on a test hearing aid.
