Full hearing assessment: What to expect and why it matters
If you haven’t been diagnosed but feel you may be experiencing hearing loss, our free in-store hearing health check is the best place to start.

Who is a full hearing assessment for?
A full hearing assessment is recommended if you:
• Are new to Boots Hearingcare and already wear hearing aids?
• Already wear hearing aids and would like to upgrade
• Have previously been told by an audiologist that you may benefit from wearing hearing aids
Our full hearing assessments last around 75 minutes
What's involved in a full hearing assessment
General ear health check
Includes video otoscopy to examine your ear canal and eardrum, making sure everything looks healthy.
Comprehensive hearing test
We test your ability to hear different frequencies and understand speech in noisy environments, giving you a complete hearing profile.
Audiogram results & advice
Your results are plotted on an audiogram, and your audiologist will provide clear advice and recommendations to help improve your hearing health.
Bring along a friendly face
It can really help your audiologist build a full picture of your hearing health if you bring someone you spend time with. They’ll be able to share how they think you hear day to day.
If no one can come with you, that’s fine, but we do ask that someone close to you completes their part of the questionnaire before your appointment.

Our commitment to your health
At Boots, your health and wellbeing always come first. To keep you and our colleagues safe, we:
• Limit the number of appointments each day so rooms can be cleaned between visits
• Provide colleagues with the right personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Carry out extra cleaning throughout the day
• Offer hygiene stations in store for your use
• Accept cashless payments only to minimise contact
