Key Features of the Phonak Exelia ART:

hearing_aid_feature_channels

20 hearing aid channels

Simply put, the number of channels determines how finely your hearing aid can be tuned to best suit your individual level of hearing loss. The more channels the hearing aid has, the more it can be finely tuned to give you the most natural and effective hearing experience. As one of the most sophisticated hearing aids in our Best Hearing Aid Range the Phonak Exélia Art features the greatest number of channels at 20.

hearing_aid_feature_zoom_control

Choose where to focus your hearing aids with ZoomControl*

Zoom Control is a feature unique to Phonak hearing aids and it gives you the ability to choose in which direction to focus your hearing aid, and therefore hearing.

Zoom Control is perfect for instances where you may not be facing a speaker such as listening to a passenger in a car or when sounds are coming consistently from one direction.  That means your Phonak Exélia Art can 'zoom' your hearing aid in on the direction sounds are coming from. Zoom Control can be selected manually on the hearing aid itself or with the use of a remote control for ease and convenience.

hearing_aid_feature_duophone

Talking on the telephone becomes clear and simple when your hearing aid features Duophone*.

The Exélia Art from Phonak comes with DuoPhone a feature which means as soon as a phone is held close to the ear the phone signal is heard automatically in both ears. This helps to reduce background noise and makes hearing clearly on the phone much easier. DuoPhone is especially useful when using a mobile phone in a noisy environment.

hearing_aid_feature_quicksync

With QuickSync* your hearing aids work together seamlessly to help you hear better

If you were to wear two Phonak Exélia Art hearing aids, then just one touch on the programme selection button or volume control on one hearing aid results in instant identical changes in the other hearing aid - ensuring that the volume and programme settings are always balanced, comfortable and clear, with minimal effort from you.

boots_hearing_aid_feature_sound_recover

A hearing aid with SoundRecover can help to recapture higher frequencies

Often with hearing loss it is the higher frequencies that are lost first, sounds like birdsong and children's voices. In technical terms SoundRecover 'compresses high frequency sounds into a region capable of hearing tones'. Basically put the Phonak Exélia Art uses this feature to 'move' sounds down into a range that can be heard; therefore  this improves clarity of speech and understanding, and means you can recapture some of the best sounds in life

hearing_aid_feature_bluetooth

A hearing aid with Bluetooth connects you to the other technology in your life.

Bluetooth enables your Phonak Exélia Art to connect quickly, simply and without wires to audio devices such as your TV, mobile phone or cordless headphones, allowing you to hear the sounds from the device through your hearing aids in clear, surround sound.

boots_hearing_aid_feature_sound_flow

A hearing aid that does all the hard work for you

Hearing aid programmes allow you to have the ideal hearing aid settings for different types of environment. SoundFlow in the Phonak Exélia Art takes this one step further by taking in information from the environment and automatically changing the settings to best suit that environment. Effectively Sound Flow creates a unique hearing aid programme perfectly adapted to every new listening environment, giving a seamless transition between different hearing situations, no matter what the environment.

hearing_aid_remote_control

Change the settings on your hearing aids with a touch of a button
At Boots hearingcare the Phonak Exélia Art comes complete with a hearing aid remote control free of charge. Both the MyPilot and Keypilot2 are small and neat and allow you to alter the settings of your hearing aid, like increasing the volume or switching programmes easily and discreetly.

hearing_aid_feature_self_learning

hearing_aid_feature_data_logging

A hearing aid that remembers?

With Self Learning the Phonak Exélia Art hearing aid learns and memorises your setting preferences - e.g. the amplification volume you use in different listening environments - and applies these automatically with one click. In effect it's the next step on from data logging and allows you greater control over adjusting your hearing aid yourself.

The Phonak Exélia Art also includes a data logging feature, meaning that your hearing aid remembers and 'logs' the way you use your hearing aid. It can log details such as when you wear your hearing aid and for how long, the settings and programmes you use, you preferred volume etc. Data logging in your hearing aid will allow your Boots Hearing Aid Audiologist to better adjust and personalise your settings at your follow up appointments.

hearing_aid_feature_wind_noise

A hearing aid that's happy outdoors

The Exélia Art from Phonak is ideal for active people who regularly spend time outdoors as it includes a wind noise reduction feature. Hearing aids with wind noise reduction automatically sense wind conditions and suppress the related noise for comfort. So, if you are out on the golf course, hiking the length and breadth of Britain or out for a simple seaside stroll this hearing aid will create improved ability to hear and greater comfort.

hearing_aid_feature_telecoil

Connecting you to better hearing

Telecoils (or T-Coils) allow certain audio sources to be directly connected to a hearing aid helping to filter out annoying background noise. The telecoil on your Phonak Exélia Art can be used with telephones, FM systems (with neck loops), and induction loop systems. Loop systems can be found in most public buildings and use magnetic signals to transmit sounds to the hearing aid.

hearing_aid_feature_feedback_management

Say goodbye to feedback

Feedback is the name given to the whistling sound that you may have heard typically with older or analogue hearing aids. The feedback suppression feature built into the Phonak Exélia Art identifies this feedback and suppresses it, providing you with better quality, more comfortable hearing - and no whistling!

boots_hearing_aid_feature_directionality

hearing_aid_feature_background_noise_reduction

A hearing aid that helps you hear what you want

Exélia Art from Phonak has Adaptive directionality means that the hearing aid will take cues from the environment and focus microphones to the area where they are needed. So if speech is coming from you right, the hearing aid will put emphasis on this area to ensure the important sounds are captured.

The Exélia Art also features advanced noise reduction a hearing aid feature that enables you to focus on the important sounds you want to hear, like speech, whilst the reducing the distraction of unwanted background noise. This means when you are wearing your hearing aids it is much easier and more comfortable for you to hear in noisy environments.
