A lifetime of personal hearingcare
We're committed to helping you hear and feel better, which is
why we take the time to learn more about you, your hearing loss and
your lifestyle. The more we understand about your hearing issues
and your needs, the better we can create a personal hearing care
programme that's perfect for you.
Once you have purchased a hearing aid from Boots our aftercare
programme is flexible to meet your needs; if you want to see us
regularly then we'll be happy to arrange the necessary annual or
6-monthly appointments for you. Alternatively, if you prefer to
contact us when you need us then that's fine too; just call us
whenever you need any advice or technical help. Don't forget, all
hearingcare appointments are free of charge as part of the Boots
'customer for life' aftercare programme.
Typically your aftercare programme
will consist of…
Follow up
appointments
It can take time to get used to a new hearing aid. Follow up
appointments are used to discuss your initial experiences and make
sure your hearing aid is supporting your hearing the best it can.
We may make fine tuning adjustments to improve the performance of
your hearing aid and to ensure you are getting the most effective
and comfortable hearing experience from your hearing aid.
Six monthly check
ups
A six monthly appointment typically only takes a few minutes. We
give your ears a quick health check and make sure your hearing aid
is in full working order. Where necessary, we'll give it a quick
clean and make any fine adjustments.
Reassessments
Just as your eyesight gradually changes over time, so does your
hearing. We recommend a full reassessment at your local Boots
hearingcare centre every 2 years. At this appointment we carry out
a full hearing test and a detailed examination of your ears. We
also check whether your hearing aid needs adjusting or
reprogramming to make sure it is supporting your new hearing levels
effectively. Usually these appointments will take between 30
minutes and an hour.
